About Us
Fudoshin is a K-1 Freestyle Kickboxing Academy based in the heart of the West Midlands. With a proud lineage passed from instructor to student for over 26 years, we are a unique full-contact club led by a team of instructors with real-life training and experience — both on and off the mats.
We operate as a pay-as-you-train club — no monthly fees, no hidden costs, and no strict uniform rules. We believe students should feel comfortable when they train, and we do everything we can to make that happen.
There is a 4-week introductory period after which a licence fee becomes payable. The initial licence fee includes the cost of the uniform and is renewable annually. Our organisation is regulated by the Cobra Martial Arts Association. Details regarding the licence fee amount and payment options are available upon request. Meet The Team
Will - Head Instructor & Club Owner
Trained in: K-1 Kickboxing, BJJ, Judo, Karate, Thai Boxing, FRACT, Reality Based Self Defence.
Will is a 4th Dan Black Belt in Freestyle Kickboxing with over 15 years of teaching experience. He began his martial arts journey at the age of 10 and started Kickboxing at 13. Since then, he has gone on to study a wide range of disciplines, including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, Thai Boxing, Judo, and Karate.
As the founder and head instructor of Fudoshin, Will has led the club for the past 8 years. He has written a bespoke syllabus tailored specifically for the club and specialises in teaching reality-based self-defence that is practical and effective.
Will is also a Level 3 F.R.A.C.T Instructor and brings real-world experience from working in the Security Industry for over a decade. His passion for martial arts and commitment to high standards make him a respected leader and mentor within the Fudoshin community.
Leigh - Instructor
Trained in: K-1 Kickboxing
Leigh is a 1st Dan Black Belt in Freestyle Kickboxing with over a decade of experience training under Will. She began her martial arts journey at the age of 14 and has grown into a skilled and confident martial artist.
For the past 4 years, Leigh has been a dedicated instructor at Fudoshin, where she brings her deep knowledge, calm approach, and supportive teaching style to students of all ages. Her long-standing commitment to the club and passion for martial arts make her a valued member of the Fudoshin coaching team.
Hannah - Instructor
Trained in: K-1 Kickboxing
Hannah is a 1st Dan Black Belt in Freestyle Kickboxing and has been training in martial arts since the age of 6. She has studied with Will for over 10 years, developing into a highly skilled and disciplined martial artist.
As an instructor at Fudoshin for nearly 3 years, Hannah brings both experience and enthusiasm to her coaching. Her deep understanding of the sport and commitment to helping others grow make her a key part of the club’s teaching team. She continues to inspire students with her technical ability, focus, and passion for martial arts.
Hollie - Senior Coach
Trained in: K-1 Kickboxing
Hollie is a skilled Freestyle Kickboxer, holding both Brown and Red Belts. She began training with Will at the age of 16 and has studied under his guidance for the past 2 years.
Now an enthusiastic coach at Fudoshin, Hollie has been part of the coaching team for 1 year. Her dedication, progress, and passion for the sport make her a valued role model for younger members and a key part of the club’s future.
Hann - Club Owner & Director
Trained in: K-1 Kickboxing
Hannah is a dedicated and experienced Freestyle Kickboxer, currently holding Brown and Red Belt.. With over 8 years of training since starting at the age of 23, she brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the sport.
Beyond the mats, Hannah is the backbone of the club's operations. She manages all behind-the-scenes activity and serves as the main point of contact for members and enquiries. As a Level 3 Safeguarding trained professional, she also oversees the safety and welfare of everyone involved in the club, ensuring everything runs smoothly and to the highest standard.
Ethan - Coach
Trained in: K-1 Kickboxing
Ethan has been training with Will in K-1 Kickboxing since he was just three years old, developing a deep foundation in the sport from a very young age. Now a junior black belt, Ethan approaches his training with thorough dedication and an unwavering passion. His commitment to continuous learning is evident in every session, and he consistently demonstrates a genuine eagerness to improve. Beyond his personal growth, Ethan generously shares his knowledge and skills with our younger students, inspiring them with his enthusiasm and encouraging their own development in the sport.
